There is no railway connection between Faro Central Station and the airport. The best alternative is to take city bus lines 14 or 16 from the nearby bus station, which will reach the airport in about 15 minutes.
Faro Central Station has around five trains per day connecting to Lisbon, and about ten regional trains serving other Algarve towns. For towns to the east — such as Tavira, Monte Gordo, and Vila Real de Santo António — the train is the recommended option, while bus is better for towns to the west.
